Sally Anne Fitter
Sally Anne Fitter (born 1963) studied ceramics at Bristol Art School gaining a First Class Honours Degree. She went on to teach art and ceramics at Latymer Boys School, London. After a textile design course at Chelsea School of Art, Sally set up and ran 'Digby Morton', a textile design studio in London. Her designs have been selling worldwide for nearly 10 years to clients such as Ralph Lauren in New York and Liberty of London.
Sally Anne now lives and works in Norfolk. In 2003 she turned professionally to painting. She primarily concentrates on the varied forms of still life; she has an imaginative eye for colour, with a warm, rich palette. Her vigorous handling, developing surface textures, with numerous painting techniques, lead to a strong sense of design and composition that invites the viewer to look again at the ordinary and familiar.
